How does ESG by ZYT decide whether a report is "in accordance with" GRI?
It derives the claim level rather than letting you choose it. A report is downgraded from "in accordance" to "with reference to" unless four conditions all hold: material topics have been determined, the GRI 3-1 process is described, every required disclosure has a value, and no factor used is provisional.
The four conditions checked, in the software’s own terms:
Material topics have been determined — GRI 3-2 requires a list, and topic disclosures follow from it.
The process used to determine them is described — GRI 3-1. This cannot be generated for you; it is a record of what your organisation actually did.
No required disclosure is still empty, including a GRI 3-3 management narrative for every material topic.
No emission factor used is provisional. A report may not be published on an unverified factor at either claim level.
The level is recomputed on the server when the report is generated, not taken from the browser, so it cannot be raised by editing what the page sends. Reports are also gated on the organisation being activated.
